Tickets For The 2nd Annual Shark Tub Are Selling Fast

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- How does $100,000 sound?

The Muskingum County Business Incubator is handing out that much in play money to invest in Shark Tub entrepreneurs. This event is a spin-off of TV’s Shark Tank and is designed for people to showcase their business ideas. The winner gets an $8,000 cash prize.

“This year there will be 20 companies, each with a table,” Executive Director, Larry Triplett said. “And they essentially get you their pitch about their company. And then you invest your money in varies companies or all with one company. You invest your money whatever company you’re intrigued by. The top three companies then will go in front of the sharks. The sharks are local entrepreneurs and community civic people.”

Triplett said the Shark Tub event is the pinnacle for MCBI.

“The Shark Tub event is a fun event that’s here at MCBI. And the purpose of it is to give a chance to community members to see some of the really cool, innovative entrepreneurs that are in our area. A lot of people don’t know what kind of entrepreneurs we’ve got here in Muskingum County and the surrounding areas. So this gives people a chance to see those. See what kind of inventions and ideas and businesses they’ve got. And quite honestly to see maybe the upcoming next big thing that will be the future of Zanesville,” said Triplett.
