The Barn Has New Owners

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- There has been a lot of rumors swirling around about the fate of one local restaurant/sports bar.

The Barn has been a local favorite and a staple for many years. And Thursday owner, William Steed sat with us to share the news.

“Me and my wife Paulett have after 32 years of business we have sold the business to Jim Watson. Selling it to somebody that I feel very confident in keep it like it is. And make it even better. Is really an honor to me. He the prefect guy. I couldn’t have picked a better man to buy it. We had other choices, he’s the one we chose. He’s the guy that I really feel will do what The Barn deserves,” said Steed.

New owner Jim Watson wanted to stress that everything you love at The Barn will remain the same.

“I have no planned changes. The menu is an established menu. We have the best pizza in town. It’s absolutely the best locally owned operation. I look 100% forward to working with the community on different events. My wife Christy and I have been members of the community our entire lives. I’m super excited to be in a position, to take over The Barn from Bill and Pauly Steed. Who have done a fanatic job of running it and developing it over the last 32 years.

They have all kinds of fun planned for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day as well. Steed said Friday night will be the last party that he and his wife will host.
