ZAAP’s Gallery Will Showcase Muskingum Behavioral Health Clients

ZAAP's Gallery Will Showcase Muskingum Behavioral Health ClientsZANESVILLE, Ohio- Friday the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project is hosting it’s monthly art walk.

But the first Friday showcase will spotlight some new local talent. Friday ZAAP will be highlighting the art work of clients from Muskingum Behavioral Health.

“The art cross came up when some clienteles didn’t have a ride home right away. So they were going to be waiting in the lobby for about 30 minutes. Then I thought let’s just get out some paint and experiment. We wanted to display it so the community can see what our clientele have been doing. And how they’ve been coping with recovery in a non-traditional way actually,” said Muskingum Behavioral Health, Kris Headley.

Headley said every Friday clients come to Muskingum Behavioral Health and express themselves through art.

“We have it on Fridays because a lot of clientele say it was a high risk time for them. This was usual the time they would try to figure out, how they were going to party on the weekend. This was a great time to have them involved in something,” said Headley.

ZAAP’s art walk is Friday from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
