Robert Rossiter

Robert “Bob” Lee Rossiter age 82, of Pleasant City, OH passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at OhioHealth Southeastern Med in Cambridge, OH. He was born January 27, 1943 in Marietta, OH son of the late Virgil James and Betty Irene Johnson Rossiter.

Bob served and protected his nation in the United States Army. He worked in the deep mines for many years. He was also employed at Fuqua Homes and Arrow Plastics. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He could often be found cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Tommy J. (Delores) Rossiter; niece Tammy Rossiter and nephew Tommy “Bub” Rossiter.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Margaret Leasure Rossiter, whom he married December 25, 1962; six children Robert (Tammy) Rossiter of New Concord, OH, Jonathan (Lisa) Rossiter of Cumberland, OH, Beth (Tom) Postel of Pleasant City, OH, Melissa Rossiter of Sarahsville, OH, Jim (Kacie) Rossiter of Pleasant City, OH, and Betty Moore of Cambridge, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, June 6, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will conclude visitation Friday, June 6, 2025 at 5:00 PM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Myron Guiler officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Services will conclude at the funeral home and cremation will follow.
