Jay Carson

Jay “Mike” Carson, 75, of New Lexington, Ohio passed peacefully at home on Friday, June 6, 2025 finding his spot in the “Great Garage” in the sky.
Born January 8, 1950 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Clarence Jay and Helen Louise Myers Carson.
Mike was a 1968 graduate of Jewett High School and then on to 3 years of college at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He ran bulldozers his entire life and was a member of I.U.O.E. Local #18; retired from Kokosing in 2012.
He loved his grandkids and watching them compete in athletics. Avid Browns and Buckeyes fan; loved to watch Nascar races. He did not know what sitting down meant and was always working on a car or a household project; when he did sit, he usually had a bag of M & M’s to snack on.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Dulkoski Carson; son, Justin (Stephanie) Carson; grandchildren, Hailie, Jaida, Bella, Nolan, Scarlett, Maddox and “Princess” Leia; brother, Charles (Tammy) Carson and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his son, Jay Carson, II and a sister, Vicki Figgins.
Calling hours will be held from 10am-1pm with funeral service at 1:00pm with Pastor Sanford Short officiating on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Covenant Community Church, 383 Park Avenue, New Lexington, Ohio.
Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio.
