Muskingum County Center for Seniors is one Step Closer to Completion

Community leaders met today to discuss the progress of the new Muskingum County Center for Seniors in downtown Zanesville.
Muskingum County Commissioners along with representatives from the senior center met today to discuss the updated progress of the facility and to ensure they are all on the same page.
“We’re excited that demolition is well underway with a new center and that we’re devising plans for the first and second floor and it’s just an excited time for the center,” said Combs.
Combs said she is excited to move the senior center to the new building during the redevelopment of downtown Zanesville because, it will open up doors of opportunity for members of the community.
“I’m excited to be apart of the downtown renovation that is going on in Zanesville right now. I think that it’ll bring a wealth of opportunity for seniors to become more involved with our community partners that will be near there. The library is there, Zane’s Landing Park, Secrest, and the Welcome Center so we’ll be revitalizing seniors the same time we are revitalizing downtown and it’s an exciting time,” said Combs.
Combs said the senior center is expected to be up and running by August 31st of 2016.
