Two Year Old Girl Dead in Perry County
New Straitsville Police Department pronounced a two year old girl dead after being called to 106 East Ewing St. in the Viliage just before 7 p.m. Friday.
Upon arrival they discovered the unresponsive female. Â CPR was being performed when police arrived. New Straitsville EMS pronounced the girl deceased at 7 p.m. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted to assist with the investigation.
The Child was taken to Licking County for an autopsy at the request of  Perry County Coroner Brad Wilson.  The matter will then be presented to Perry County Prosecutor Joseph Flautt for review.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Shawnee Fire Department, and New Lexington Fire/EMS assisted on scene.
The death is under investigation. No further detials are being released at this time.
