Kim Martin

ZANESVILLE: Kimberly L. (Lytton) Martin, 58, passed away at
9:00 PM Wednesday, the 11th of June 2025, at her home, of
natural causes. She arrived during some tumultuous times for
our nation, born Friday, the 23rd of September 1966 in
Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of Robert and Sarah Lytton. She
lived in Zanesville early in her life and then moved to
Crooksville, later Roseville in her teens. She willfully and
fairly early on struck out on her own to build a Family and a
home, all the while showing care and concern for others.
Kim graduated from Crooksville High School and attended Zane State College,
obtaining a State Tested Nursing Assistant certificate. She was a great worker all
her life, working at United Technologies for several years (with her mother), and
then applying herself at various businesses, including her own restaurant and
later her own bar (with her beloved husband Craig) for many years. She was
known for her hard work ethic, her dazzling smile and for her genuine care for her
loved ones. She really was one of the hardest workers you would ever come
across and she always had plans and dreams for herself and others. Some things
just didn’t work out or timed out. She lived and loved to the fullest, was a fighter
to the very end and is now at peace.
Kim is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Siders of Roseville, her grandchildren
who she adored, Cameron Siders of Colorado and Sophia Donaldson of
Crooksville. She is additionally survived by her siblings, David Huff (who was her
caregiver at various times) of Avondale, Kevin Lytton of Zanesville, Sheila (Bill)
Coble of Roseville and Robert (Tricia) of Zanesville. She had a special nephew
Charlie (Kathy) Huff of Zanesville, a special niece, Tiffany Lesjak of Zanesville,
and her best little buddy was Allison Lytton of Zanesville. She is further survived
by her stepson Nathan (Jody) Martin and various special aunts and uncles,
nieces and nephews, dear friends and her new puppy, Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents, who passed away in 2012 and 2013, by
her husband, James “Craig” Martin in 2013 and by an unborn child in 1986. She is
further preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
too numerous to count and by her 15-year-old treasured dog Beau, who passed in
March 2025.
Kim was adamant about being cremated and not having an official service. The
joke is partially on her because we will gather to celebrate her life and to share
memories on 04 July 2025. There will be invitations and a Facebook post
announcing this and the location will be included.
Kim’s Family thanks all who have made an impact on her life and we encourage
you to do something for someone else today. Don’t wait for tomorrow- do it
today, in honor of Kim.
