There was a lot of fun and excitement at a health expo in Coshocton Saturday morning that had something for everyone.

The Coshocton County Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored the 4th Annual Coshocton Health, Safety and Wellness Expo at the Kids America Indoor Sports Venue. The expo is intended to promote health and wellness in the community.

“The Chamber of Commerce here in Coshocton is responsible for the Coshocton Safety Council and when I took over as the Executive Director I came up with an idea how to reach what was a need in our community and that is heath and wellness and safety plays into that health and wellness. We just invite vendors out that anyway that can touch health safety or wellness,” said Amy Stockdale.

More than 50 exhibitors showcased their services at the four-hour long event, along with the Coshocton Hospital that had 22 booths. The hospital was partnering to offer several blood tests and many other free health screenings such as blood pressure screenings and Dermascan.

“As the community hospital it is essential that we are here. We’re able to bring to our public audience the services that we offer, let them get to know our folks. We have about 75 employees who volunteer to work this event, so obviously the commitment is huge from us to really what is available right here in our community and what we can do to be able to help all of the people that live in this county and beyond,” said Maryellen Given.
