One local animal rescue is looking to bring attention to their organization.

Hoof’s Animal Rescue is a family owned operation that has been around since 2003. Somewhere down the line they experienced a family hardship. That kept them from operating but, now they are up and running and they are asking for support from the community.

“My aunt and my dad started it when I was real young and my aunt had gotten cancer and we closed it down for a little while. In the meantime I got married and we got our own place and just decided I just didn’t want to give it up. It’s been apart of life. Now I have a little boy and he enjoys coming out and helping me feed, it’s all about the animals. We all got to work together it’s not going to stop,” said Kasie Rose.

Hoof’s Animal Rescue provides shelter for 14 dogs, 12 horses, 2 pigs, 1 cow and 18 chickens and many more. Rose said even if you are unable to adopt a pet. They encourage people to stop by to visit the animals.

“We want volunteers. People come out and show them how to take care of animals. That is what’s wrong, we need to be more involved with the community and the kids needs to know how to do things instead of sitting on video games,” said Rose.

For more information on how you can adopt or volunteer you can visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hoofs.rescue.
