Muskingum County Community Foundation Honored at Dr. King Prayer BreakfastFour hearts, one mission, celebrating local organizations making a difference.

Monday the Muskingum County Community Foundation was recognized for their contributions. We caught up with CEO Brian Wagner he shared his reaction when first heard his organization will be honored.

“We do it because we want to support young people in the community. And we want to be there to help them achieve their dreams and that’s why we’re active with the group. And then for the committee to step back and say, you know what you need a little more special recognition because of the years of hard work. That’s very humbling for us,” said Wagner.

Wagner said this is a spectacular honor for them to receive. Muskingum County Community Foundation has been working closely with this scholarship since it began 22 years ago.

“The foundation has been very active with this scholarship really kind of since the inception. Do to the hard work of the gang down at scholarship central and the america core guides that we had, the college guides. They are really the ones behind the work. Working hand and hand with the committee to pull this together. It’s nice that they considered us and are honoring us this year,” said Wagner.

Wagner is honored and humbled for this organization to be honored by his peers.
