Dodgeball Tournament At The Muskingum Recreation Center

The Muskingum Recreation Center is hosting its first ever United Way Dodgeball Fundraising Event.

The event will take place on Thursday, February 18th at 5:30 p.m. in the Rec Center Gymnasium. All proceeds from the event will go to the United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties.

Teams of 6-8 people will be needed and a minimum $50 dollar donation will be required.

Katie McNeil, Membership Director at the Rec Center told us about some of the programs that the funds from the event would help support.

“One of our programs is our Pulmonary Maintenance Rehab Program. Its COPD patients that come up to our fitness floor and they are monitored by our certified staff,” said McNeil.

There is another program that’s going to be funded by the event and that’s an Adults Developmental Disability Weight Program called Healthy Outcomes.

“It’s a twice weekly water class for adults with DD and they come in and have a nutrition class and learn how to eat healthier,” said McNeil.
