FoodWorks Alliance is hosting its 1st Annual Baking Competition

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Calling all bakers. The FoodWorks Alliance is hosting it’s 1st Annual Baking Competition sponsored by Riesbeck’s and Shrivers Pharmacy.
The competition is set to take place Saturday, January 30th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Foodworks Alliance. There are three categories pastry, cake, and bread.
“We’re hoping all those holiday bakers are going to bring those recipes in and have a little fun competition that morning. We actually start at 9:00 a.m. All products have to be checked in by 9:30 a.m. We will be finished up by noon with all the awards,” said Director Carol Humphreys.
Humphreys said there is a cost to participate but that cost is based on how advanced you are as a baker.
“There is a cost. If you are an expert, if you are a baker professional it’s $25. We welcome any bakeries to senn their best product also. If you’re an amateur it’s $10. And if you are youth then it is free. We would love to have the youth come and be involved,” said Humphreys.
There is a cash prize for the winner. The deadline to enter is January 28th. For more information visit www.foodworksalliance.com.
