James Gander

James Russell Gander, 78, of Lore City, passed away at his residence June 20th, 2025, with his family by his side.
He was born February 27, 1947, in Cambridge, son of the late, James Richard Gander and Margurete Jackson Gander McGee. James was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Lore City United Methodist Church, VFW, Moose, Eagles, AM Vets, and DAV. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at the dirt track.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Matthew) Robbins; brothers, Homer (Penny) Gander, Robert Bruce (Dorothy) Gander; grandchildren, Madison Gander, Kaylee McClintock, Abigial Reynolds, Bella Robbins, and Bentley Wilson; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will take place at a later date with full military honors held for family and friends.
