College Goal Sunday Is Happening This SundayZANESVILLE, Ohio- College goal Sunday will take place this weekend.

It’s a statewide event geared to help college students and their family members fill out Federal Student Aid forms.

“It’s a free event for everybody. It is this Sunday, February 14th Valentine’s Day. Like I tell everybody, what better way to spend Valentine’s Day than with a bunch of people you don’t know. Who knows something might happen. Love might be in the air,” said Zane State College Financial Aid Adviser Stacy Bernard.

Bernard said it’s not a long process. On average it takes a total of 30 minutes to complete.

“We would like to see people come out and fill out there FAFSA. That is one of the things biggest things everybody is nervous about. When they want to start standing college. What do I do? What’s my first step? How do I do this? We’re here to ease that. We’re here to make you feel comfortable. We have about 50 sites available so if Zane State College is not closest to you the you can go to any of the other sites,” said Bernard.

This event is open to students who are attending or plan on attending any college. It starts at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zane State College. For more information or to register, ohiocollegegoalsunday.org.
