Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake Kick-Off Event

The kickoff event will be taking place February 22nd at the Barn Restaurant and Sports Bar from 6pm to 7pm. People will meet up to organize bowling teams and discuss ways to raise money for the bowling event this April.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director, Mollie Crooks, said that this is a great event for people to get together and have some fun while raising money for a good cause at the same time.

“It helps us raise money to recruit volunteers and match them with children, support those matches. Actually in the long run we’re changing children’s lives by having role models in their lives through Big Brothers Big Sisters. Research shows that children are more likely to do well in school, more likely to have positive behaviors, graduate high school, and go onto college or straight into the job field,” said Crooks.

Crooks said that Big Brothers Big Sisters is extremely thankful for the support of the community and that this event wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for them.

The actual bowling event is scheduled to take place in April. People who would like to participate should get together a group of 5 people. The event will feature bowling, live entertainment, games, food, and much more.
