Flanagan Scholarship Applications Are Now Being Accepted

Mary Flanagan established the scholarship fund back in 2007. It’s in memory of her husband Oliver, and the purpose of the fund is to assist worthy students who have graduated from secondary schools in Muskingum County with the purchase of college textbooks.

Recipients of the award will receive $250 to spend on textbooks for school. In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship, students must be a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student who graduated from a Muskingum County high school, and has a 3.0 grade point average or better.

The winner will be required to submit copies of book receipts and write a thank you note to claim their award. The Community Youth Foundation is going to be in charge of selecting the recipient of the award and will be selected during their March meeting.
