No Adoption Fee for This Week Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- It’s time for pet of the week.

This week we have Lilly,  a black hound mix. She’s very tentative and has been at the shelter for awhile. Lilly is looking for her forever home.

“The good thing about Lilly is she’s been here for so long that she’s been sponsored. There is no adoption fee for her. She does get along with other dogs,” said Animal Shelter Executive Director Jody Murray.

Cold air and fridgid temperatures are heading our way this weekend. Keep in mind your four legged family members as the temperatures drop. It’s important to take the proper precautions for our pets with the winter weather.

“Particularly this weekend it’s going to be cold. We really recommend if at all possible just keeping your pets in doors. If they do have to go outside certainly make sure they have extra blankets, hay, straw something to keep them warm. Make sure they have fresh water and fresh food,” said Murray.
