Genesis Healthcare System Scores High Patient In Satisfaction

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Genesis Healthcare System is looking to continue success.

Genesis Healthcare System CEO Matthew Perry addressed the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club Tuesday and said the overall patient experience is far better in the new hospital.

“The top tier level of care is really define in two ways. It is what the patient’s experience is. And since we’ve been in the new hospital, our patient satisfaction that they tell us from their experience is enormously better than it was a year ago. We are now performing in the top 25% of hospitals in the country. The second piece is the quality outcomes,” said Perry.

Perry said the main goal is to keep patient satisfaction high, and he also wanted to put a rumor to rest.

“I know there is rumors that Genesis is for sale. No, Genesis is not for sale. Never has been. It’s not going to be. We can concentrating very heavily on just sticking with what we are doing. And being able to develop the centers of excellence,” said Perry.

Perry said he plans on continuing patient satisfaction by treating patients the same way he would treat his friends or family.
