Freedom Contest Winners
8th grade students across Muskingum County were provided with a copy of the Bill of Rights last December and then were asked to complete a 300-word essay on my freedoms and responsibilities as a United States citizen to their teachers.
The yearly tradition takes place the day after President’s Day. 29 students were selected and were invited to bring their family and teachers to have dinner during the award ceremony.
Each 29 winners received an award of 50 dollars cash and another award of 100 dollars cash was given for the overall outstanding winner.
The overall outstanding winner was Megan Sherry from East Muskingum.
