Port Authority Is Kicking Off Business Expansion Program
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority is kicking off a business expansion program.
Port authority Executive Director Matt Abbott said the port authority is here to assist businesses and foster growth.
“When businesses prospers in our county, in our city, and in our region its good for everybody. The employment rates are the lowest they’ve been in decades. We see businesses takes risks and investing in companies here Zanesville and Muskingum County. We see businesses looking to locate here on a continual bases,” said Abbott.
Abbott said businesses are the jobs creators of this community.
“In the future, things that was would like to see from the port authority perspective is to increase our marketability, to have more sites to show businesses that are looking to locate. And part of some of these grant applications that we are continuing to work for is to create show ready sites in our county. When businesses want to locate here they can purchase the property today and start building tomorrow,” said Abbott.
Abbott said businesses are vital to the community not only as job creators but as staples in the community as well.
