MCCF Holds A-to-Z Winding Road Art Gallery Event

Nearly 20 artists came together for an instructional seminar on the concepts of web marketing in the modern world, Saturday morning.

The Muskingum County Community Foundation held the A-to-Z Winding Road Art Gallery event. Which combines the talents of 100 different artists to one single gallery, featuring artists from Athens to Zanesville. During the event artists learned the important role that different sources of media plays in marketing their business.

"Technology is always changing so really the key is that it’s not difficult to learn it now but, tomorrow it’s going to be different. So it is something that even if you’re established on social media and with the website, it needs a constant refresher, a constant updating to adapt to technologies in the new rules as well as the cultural norms that develop everyday on social media." said
Brad Paukquette.

A speaker from the event Brad Paukquette. Said the essential concept of this ceremony is to learn how they can team together as artists not to compete against each other but to compete against large retailers.

"How can we compete against a culture that doesn’t buy fine art that doesn’t appreciate thing that are produced locally. If anything I want to encourage the artist to come together to unite and to really effectively market each other as a group to help gain market share for locally produced fine things," said Paukquette.
