2nd Annual Indoor Triathlon Takes Place This Sunday At The Muskingum Recreation Center
Whether you are an experienced triathlete or this is your first time competing in a triathlon, this is a great way to test your level of fitness.
This is the second year that the Muskingum Recreation Center is hosting the event.
Unlike typical triathlons, the events are timed rather than being a distance to be completed before advancing onto the next event.
The event will start at 8am on Sunday, February 23rd. The event will start off with a 10 minute swim then after times up everyone in that heat will advance to the next event which is a 30 minute bike ride on the stationary bikes. After time is up for that, the last event in a 20 minute run or walk on the treadmill.
“It’s a change of pace for anyone who has done a triathlon before. Doing the same thing over and over again can get very old, so this is a great way to switch things up. It’s something new to try for experienced triathletes, and for the new triathletes who have never participated before. It’s a good starting point, “ said Aquatics and Sports Manager, Susan Bowen.
Members and non-members are allowed to sign up and registration is open until the day the event takes place on Sunday.
