S.T.A.R.S Host Fundraiser at Steak ‘n Shake

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Thursday Steak ‘n Shake on Zane Street will donate a percentage of their profits to a local organization.

The fundraiser is to help with the cost of a camp that teaches sensitivity, tolerance, attitude, responsibility and self-esteem, Stars for short.

“From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. they are going to give us 10% of their total sells from drive thru, dine in, or carry out. 10% will come back to help with the cost of camp. We have girls who really want to go but can’t afford the registration cost. It will also go to supplies and presenters. That 10 % will help towards the cost of that,” said Stars Coordinator Ronelle Barnett.

Stars is a camp geared toward middle school girls.

“it’s all about focusing on girl power, self esteem, thinking about who they want to be when they grow up. What they want to do. Where they want to go. Just encouraging all of that. Giving them the tools get through middle school and beyond, “said Barnett.
