Beau Greiner Scholarship Fundraiser

 The Fraternal Order of Eagles #302 held a reverse raffle fundraiser to benefit the Beau Greiner Scholarship Fund.

The $500.00 scholarship is in honor of former student, Beau Greiner, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident during his senior year in 2009. Also during the fundraiser, two large donation checks were presented to Foxfire to help with their new enrichment after school program.

"Extra proceeds that are made this evening will be used to start a Beau Greiner after school program for our younger age children. At Foxfire we currently have students from grades 1st- 12th and we just feel that it is important that our younger children have a safe place to stay after school," said Tami Porter, Outreach Coordinator, Foxfire schools.

The Greiner Family was there to accept the check on behalf of the Beau Greiner Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be presented to two Foxfire graduating seniors during their graduation ceremony on May 17th.
