Early Morning Power Outage

Some Muskingum County residents spent the overnight in the dark. American Electric Power says just before 1:00 a.m. power went out to over 16-hundred customers in the Pinkerton Lane area. A-E-P says the power outage lasted until around 5:30 Friday morning. One area school was closed due to the outage and another went on a two hour delay. A-E-P says the cause of the problem was a power pole that caught on fire and a power line that had to be replaced.
