Dog of the week! Meet Fritz
Zanesville, OH- A big bundle of joy is ready for a family to take him in. Meet our dog of the week, Fritz.
Volunteers at the Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center said Fritz is 5-years-old and kennel trained. He’s great with kids but can be selective with other dogs. He also follows orders very well, which could be helpful to his future family.
“Yeah, so a dog that takes commands from is very easy to give treats to. Especially around other people, he does well. So that means a lot. Actually, he is a teddy bear. As you can see, he enjoys doing things to please. So that means a lot. That’s definitely a good feature to have to be a dog owner,” stated K9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid.
Fritz’s favorite activity is playing frisbee, and if you were looking for an excuse to add a furry friend to your home, this month is the perfect time to do so.
“Currently right now we are offering an adoption fee through July 20th. If you’re interested in adopting a forever friend, the fee is $75. That does include everything and a dog license as well,” said McQuaid.
The K-9 Adoption Center would like to remind community members to be safe this 4th of July, as it can be tough on pets. Avoid bringing your pets around any fireworks or other loud areas as that could affect their behavior.
