March Madness Begins At The Barn

 March Madness kicks-off today, and area bars are inviting the community out to watch their favorite teams play.

The Barn on Linden is hosting March Madness festivities all month long. Owner, Jim Watson said folks have been out celebrating today as early as 8 a.m this morning. He said they want to be the place that people come to watch their favorite teams play. And there will will also be brackets located in the bar to help make it easier for the fans to keep up with their teams.

"The Barn today has all of the March Madness games going on we go our 14 TV’s tuned into the March Madness games we’ll have them going all month obviously until the championship on the 3rd. We’re excited about the community coming down and spending time at the barn and just enjoying our food specials as well as our drink specials as well as drink specials during these games," said Watson.

We talked to Kayla Belleville who said today is also special to her family for other reasons.

"Well we are actually out for a couple of different reasons, we’re out because it’s St. Patrick’s Day with is our favorite holiday and we’re also out to celebrate March Madness," said Bellville. " I’m a Ohio State fan all the way but, we’re not in it this year so I got to side with my mom on Kansas."

Watson said the Barn is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a ‘Green Beer Party’ today that will last until closing time.
