Buckeye Lake Man Killed in Bar Shooting; Suspect Arrested Out of State

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — A man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that happened late Friday night at a bar in Buckeye Lake.

Fifty-nine-year-old Richard Lindgren was arrested in connection with the shooting at Louie’s Corner House, located at 11174 Hebron Road. Deputies responded to the bar just before midnight on July 11. When they arrived, they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Benjamin Hawk of Buckeye Lake.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office says Lindgren was arrested out of state on a murder warrant, and they plan to begin the extradition process to bring him back to Licking County.

The investigation is still ongoing.
