The P.A.L Hosts the 12th Lucky Gloves Boxing Show

 Pick up the gloves and shake the violence. At least that’s what one organization is saying.

The Police Athletic League of Zanesville-Muskingum county hosted their annual ‘Lucky Gloves’ amateur boxing show Saturday. Tim Hartmeyer said this is their way to try and make a positive impact in a child’s life.

"One of the things that a lot of people don’t understand is that sports is a driving force in learning the same skills that it takes to survive in the real world including business and everything you do on a day to day basis. We like to think that we are building character we’re not just providing a sports activity, which we are but, we are also helping to keep the kids off the street and giving them something to do in this town," said Tim Hartmeyer.
