Jean Ann Arbaugh

Jean Ann Arbaugh, 76, of Zanesville passed at 11:55 AM Monday, July 14, 2025, at Brookdale of Zanesville. She was born on Tuesday, May 3, 1949, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert K. Winkle and Wanda Swank Winkle.
Jean Ann graduated from Philo High School, class of 1967. She held many jobs over her career, from working at Longshore Turkey Farm, to Lawsons, JC Penny and Mutual Federal Bank. Her most memorable was Mount Aloysius Corp. in New Lexington, Ohio from 1987 to 2016. She started as the accountant but soon became the Administrator. She cherished her relationship with the residents and their families as well as the staff. The Mount for her was considered family. She enjoyed roller skating with her daughter at the Lind Arena and maintained several friendships over the years that started there. She loved being near the water and spent many summers on Buckeye Lake and later in life on the Gulf side of Florida. She enjoyed going to watch the Blue Jackets hockey team as well as Ohio State Buckeye football, never missing the Skull Sessions. In retirement, she and her husband would stay up late to watch OSU Basketball, old movies, and old TV shows. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she decorated every nook of the house. She loved to bake, and her specialty was peanut butter cookies. She valued tradition, friends, and family.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Stacy L. Evans; two brothers, John (Joyce) Winkle and Jack Winkle; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jean Ann was preceded in death by her husband Edward “Ed’ Arbaugh; two brothers, Robert Winkle and David Winkle; and son-in-law, Wayne Evans.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Zanesville Memorial Park where burial will conclude the service.
