Meet Reese: This Week’s Dog of the Week!

ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s Dog of the Week is full of love and puppy energy.

Meet Reese! He’s an 8-month-old shepherd mix who’s neutered and ready for his forever family.

Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center, says Reese does well with kids and other dogs but his favorite thing to do is go for a walk.

“Does well on a leash, likes to go for walks, and has a lot of fun in our play yard,” McQuaid said. “He’ll actually sit for treats, I think he’d be a dog for an active family, maybe older kids. Someone who maybe would like to do many things with him.”

The center’s adoption special is also coming to an end on the 20th and McQuaid says that the adoption fee for each dog will be $75. He also wants to remind the community about their annual Smooches for Pooches Fundraiser at Merle Norman.

“You’re welcome to go up there till the end of the month,” McQuaid said. “We have t-shirts up there on sale for $5 a piece, we have all colors, all sizes, might be something you or someone in your family would like or maybe you would even like to get one for a friend, we would appreciate that and all of that money goes towards the K-9 Adoption Center.”

If you are interested in adopting Reese, you can contact the K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273.
