Over 2,000 in attendance for the Tri Valley Aquatics League Championship

There’s no better way to spend your summer, then having some fun with the community and competing at the same time.

The Tri-Valley Aquatics League Championship took place in Dresden on Wednesday.

There were 11 different teams at the competition of various ages. Over 2,000 lent their support to the athletes. While there were food trucks and more fun activities, competition is at the forefront.

Dresden Swim Coach Christi Holmes stated, “We have. In fact, one of the stories standing behind me as a state qualifier for the high schools when please report to the kids from the other teams that that are also state qualifiers. We have even had Olympic trail qualifiers. But you know, this is a league that supports novice kids all the way up to those elite swimmers.”

Even some rain couldn’t stop there fun day of swimming. While not everyone could win, everyone had a great time

“I think we did really good. I think everyone did really good. We might not have won but at least were having fun. It’s not the Olympics,” said Harper Landerman, a swimming participate.
