Crash Sends Three to the Hospital

A two car accident sent three people to the hospital.

The call came in just before 9 p.m. Monday night. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Maysville Pike at Woodberry Drive near South Zanesville Wal-mart and found that a maroon truck had been rear ended by a Honda car.

Witnesses on the scene claimed the driver of the truck may have stopped for an animal in the road. Sergeant Ryan Williams said they haven’t gotten a statement from the driver of the truck yet but said it’s a possibility.

There were two other occupants with the driver of the Honda and all three were transported. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Williams said the accident remains under investigation.
