Zanesville Mom Sentenced in Death of Baby

A Zanesville woman charged in the death of her 10 month old baby was sentenced in court. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 25-year-old Tiffany Davis of Hamline Avenue was charged with one count of negligent homicide in connection with the death of her baby. Zanesville Police say in April of 2015 her child was the victim of a near drowning incident in a bathtub. The Franklin County Coroner ruled the death an accident due to near drowning. The child was taken to Genesis and then transferred to a Columbus Hospital where she died on June 6th. Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill sentenced Davis to community control for a period of one year.
