John Katynski

John L. Katynski age 84, of Cambridge, OH passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 24, 1941 in Cleveland, OH, son of the late John and Beatrice Franzinger Katynski.

He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, antiquing and watching cowboy movies. He greatly enjoyed watching and feeding his hummingbirds. John loved to visit St. Augustine. He served and protected his nation with the United States Army. He was a member of the Byesville VFW Post 3760.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son Mark.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Kathy Kotlarek Katynski, whom he married May 4, 2007; children Paul (Lori), John (Cat), Malinda, Debra (Mark), Diane (Jimmy); 12 grandchildren including three special granddaughters RaeAnna (Damon), Katie (Mike), Leah (Andrew); 12 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Cremation will be observed at this time. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
