Local Zanesville family showcases Christmas tree collection

Zanesville, Ohio- Christmas tradition for many includes putting up a tree for the holiday, but for one local family, one just isn’t enough.

Christmas is the most favorite time of the year for Zanesville local Karista Jasper.  And for this year, Jasper and her family put up not just one tree, but close to fifty different themed trees throughout their house.

Jasper said that she started collecting Christmas trees ever since her daughter was born.  It was until just a few years ago that she decided to display all of her trees during what is considered to be the most wonderful time of the year.

“Three years ago I started with 17 trees, last year I went up to 30 and this year I’m at 50,” said Jasper.  “I would have had more up if I would’ve found more.”

Jasper said that she began setting up her trees in October and just finished on Saturday, December 3rd.  Jasper then had invited a bunch of her friends and family over for a Christmas party to showcase all of her hard work.

“The reason I do it is because is celebrates Jesus,” said Jasper.  “I just love sharing it with everybody else and it makes me happy so that’s also why I do it.”

Jasper said that even though she’s running out of room for more trees in her house, she’s going to continue to put more trees up for the years to come.
