On the Fly with Aniyah and Shy: Making a Butter Cow Sculpture

The Ohio State Fair unveiled an annual tradition on Tuesday, the 2025 Butter Cow Sculpture.

This year’s theme, “Pardon are Dust” includes the iconic cow and calf wearing butter hard hats along with three life-size butter construction workers.

The display commemorates major renovations underway across the fairgrounds, including in the historic Dairy Products building where the Butter Cow sculptures are on display.

In honor of the fair Aniyah Hart and Shylin Costello tried their hand at making their own butter cows.
