Maysville Bowling Standout Signs with Wright State

Maysville senior Kaleigh Bennett signed an official letter of intent this morning to bowl collegiately at Wright State.

Bennett has had a stellar bowling career,  including a top 20 finish in this year’s state tournament.  Bennett was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio this season after posting a score of 587 points in a 3-game series.

“As a freshman coming in it’s going to be more work for me.  I’m an anchor bowler on my team, but they say everyone is an anchor there,” she said.  “Everyone is coming in trying to compete for those top spots so I think I can bring diversity to the team because I can play down and in or go cross lane if I have to.”

Even though Bennett will be a freshman, she is still confident in her potential with the team.  “I am going to work as hard as I can to get a spot on the varsity team.  I want to be in one of those starting lineups and hopefully go to the nationals as they have the last couple of years.”
