Deadline approaching to return Salvation Army angels

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The deadline to return the angels from the Zanesville Salvation Army’s angel tree is approaching.
Friday is the last day to submit the angels as well as the gifts.
“Unfortunately, a lot of people I think are waiting until Friday,” Women’s Auxiliary, member, Beth Archer said. “We will have to process all of those angels. So far, we’ve processed 183. We know that we’re going to have about 700 more angels.”
The Women Auxiliary has to process every single angel they receive.
“Each child was assigned a number, so when the [gifts] come in we need to make sure that their packaged. So that it’s going to go to the right child. We also make sure that the gifts are appropriate. Very often we would add to those gifts because the women’s auxiliary has donated money also to the angel tree,” Archer said.
The Salvation Army will be distributing the gifts on December 15th. Archer said everything must be ready by 14th, that’s why it’s imperative to submit the angles as soon as possible.
