Two locals named to Academic All-Big Ten team

CHICAGO – Two former local football players have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for the fall semester. Ohio State offensive lineman Aaron Parry and Illinois quarterback Chayce Crouch were both named academic all-conference for the second time in their careers.

Parry is from Zanesville and played at Bishop Rosecrans High School. The senior lineman played in 11 games this year for the Buckeyes. He majors in biology.

Crouch is a former Newark Catholic Green Wave star who was the backup quarterback this year for the Illini. The sophomore played in four games while throwing for 249 yards and accounting for three total touchdowns. Crouch majors in finance.
