PAWS of Muskingum County to host cookie walk

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local nonprofit organization is doing it’s part to keep the pet population low.
Paws of Muskingum County is hosting its annual cookie walk Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. Paws President, Kris Medley said their mission is to provide low income families with the ability to spray or neuter their pet. Lasts year’s cookie walk raised about $5,500.
“We do a cookie walk because people like to come and get stuff for Christmas presents, hostess gifts, sometimes they come and get their Christmas cookies for the whole season,” Medley said. “Be here early. At noon is when we do all of our auctions and we draw for our Chinese auction.”
This cookie walk features 75 pounds of cookie batter, candy is also available, as well as treats for felines and canines.
“We have breads. We have special cookies. We have just about everything you want. We have the same people usually in line first. So they can get here can get the best cookies,” Medley said.
The cookie walk will be held Saturday at the Masonic Park located on Maple Ave, behind the Mattress Firm.
