10 Inch Water Main Break in Z-ville

The City of Zanesville is dealing with a water main break Thursday. It happened on Hall Avenue near Melinda Street by the post office. Mayor Jeff Tilton says a 10 inch main burst and a five foot section of the line had to be cut out and repaired. At first crews thought they would have to cut water service to Underwood Street restaurants, but that turned out not to be the case. Some homes in the area of the break did lose service for a short time while the break was repaired.
