Weldon L. Adams, 85, of Dresden, died Friday morning, August 1, 2025, at Genesis Hospice – Morrison House, Zanesville.

Born December 21, 1939, in Adamsville, he was a son of the late Paul and Josephine (Harris) Adams and a 1957 graduate of Adamsville High School. He retired from Clow Water System in Coshocton and was a volunteer fireman for the Dresden Fire Department for 34 years. Weldon and Peggy loved to travel in their RV, he enjoyed taking walks on the beach, watching NASCAR, and playing golf. Weldon was an avid golfer and over the years he had two holes in one. He was a Methodist by faith, attending Dresden United Methodist Church and a member of the Good Sam Camping Club.

Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Peggy Ellen (King) Adams, who he married on May 9, 1959; two children, Terri (Dave) DeVault and Warren (Sharon) Adams; five grandchildren, Ashley DeVault, Jamie (Chris) Tobolski, Austin (Shelby) Adams, Dr. Aric (Taylor) Adams and Amanda Adams; three great grandchildren, Jerome, Everett and Adelaide Tobolski; nephew, Tim Adams; niece, JoAnn Cline; and fur companions, Mia and Blackie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Carpenter; brother, Dale Adams; and sister Vivian Brickey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Weldon’s name to the Dresden Fire Department, P.O. Box 687, Dresden, Ohio 43821.

Family and friends may visit 5:00-8:00PM, Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Wells officiating.

Weldon will be laid to rest at the Dresden Cemetery.
