Ohio Artist Brings Local Plants to Life In Clay Creations

Orr Art

ZANESVILLE, OH- The second day of the Y-Bridge Arts Festival brought out big crowds and bold creativity, including one local artist turning Ohio plants into lasting works of art.

Ceramic artist and Zanesville native Stephanie Orr has spent the last decade growing her brand, Stephanie Orr Arts. What started as a hobby for her has become a full-time passion. She has a wide range of handmade items like tableware, ornaments, figurines, and custom decorations.

“It’s just who I am, it’s always been who I am, I’ve been playing with clay, polymer clay when I was little, and like she [Kat] said it just kind of full circle came around,” said Ceramic Artist, Stephanie Orr.

Many of her designs feature soft, natural patterns made using real plants gathered from around Ohio and in her own garden. It’s a technique that ties her work back to the local landscape and gives each piece a personal and organic feel.

“I have watched Stephanie grow for the last 10 years, and just her willpower that she has had the whole entire time to build herself up, and I also just really love art,” said Stephanie Orr Art Creative Business Director, Kat Burris.

You can find more of Stephanie’s work or request a custom piece by visiting Stephanie Orr Arts on Facebook or Etsy.
