Thomas “Tom” Wilson

Thomas “Tom” A Wilson, 89 of Nashport, died 6:29 PM, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Sunday, September 22, 1935, in Zanesville, the son of William M. Wilson and Marcia (Chalfant) Wilson was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic and Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Tom was employed with Line Material, McGraw Edison and Copper Industries, retiring following over 43years of service. His career led him to Nacogdoches, Texas from 1987 to 2020, bringing him back to his home town. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying golf, hunting and fishing. Tom loved to play cards and enjoyed working with wood. He was the neighborhood doctor and landscaper.
Tom is survived by his children, Stephen (Mary) Wilson, Cynthia (Floyd) Wilson-Rhodes, Thomas “Butch” (Kris) Wilson, Jr, Timothy Wilson; nine grandchildren, Stephenie Wilson, Celeste (Scott) Wilson-Moles, Heath (Adina) Girton, Joshua Girton, Joseph Wilson, Julia Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Ryan Wilson and Tyler Wilson; great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Natalie, Colette, Jaden, Kayden, Izzy, Alaina, Oakley and Kordell; three great-great grandchildren, Kai, Grayson and Skye.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lois M. (Luttenberger) Wilson who died on March 11, 1966; his second wife, Charlene (Hawkins) Wilson, his wife of over fifty years, who died on January 18, 2019; one daughter, Angela Ferrell and one brother, William Wilson.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where services will be at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park at a later date.
