Boil Advisory Issued

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–,  The Zanesville Water Division is issuing a precautionary boil alert for customers in the affected area, due to an emergency water main repair

This advisory is issued only for the customers in the affected area listed below.

South side of Chester St. from New York Ave. to Pine St.
North side of Race St. from New York Ave. to Pine St.

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for at least one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

This precautionary boil advisory is issued only for the affected area. Water samples will be collected once the work is completed and service is restored. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted.
