Lawrence “Larry” Walker

Lawrence A. “Larry” Walker, 71 of Zanesville, died 4:30 AM, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. He was born Sunday, September 20, 1953, in Zanesville, the son of John W. Walker and Dorothy Louise (Greulich) Walker and was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Larry was employed with Campbell’s Food Land retiring following over 43 years of service. He enjoyed comic books and has a large collection. Larry was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Bengals and Reds.

Larry is survived by one brother: Mike Walker of Zanesville; one sister: Connie (Bob) DeWitt of Hilliard; one niece: Sara (Jimmy) DeTemple of Sunbury; one nephew: Neil (Ashley) DeWitt of Granville; one great nephew: Benjamin DeTemple and five great nieces: Tori DeTemple, Jessica DeTemple, Blair DeWitt, Paige DeWitt and Laine DeWitt.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 9:00 am till 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Immediately following at 11:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 925 Main Street, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Table in Larry’s memory.
