Constance Broadwater

Constance L. Broadwater, 79, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully with her daughters and husband at her bedside at 12 Noon, August 7, 2025.
Connie was a graduate of Mifflin High School and Ohio State University. She was a social worker for children’s services, Southeastern Medical Center and The Area Agency on Aging. During her professional career, she created adoptive families for abused and neglected children, comforted the sick and assisted the elderly to remain independent in their own homes. Additionally, she volunteered for Hospice and Suicide Prevention Hotline.
She faced her many health challenges with a fierce resilience and a quiet heart.
Later in life, she enjoyed Broadway plays with Barbara, her sister-in-law and Becky, a cousin. She was a good mother, a doting grandmother and a generous, and loving wife.
She is survived by her, husband of 49 years, Tom, her two daughters, Kate Paul and Jessica Chastain and sons-in law Nick and Brad; her grandchildren, Oliver, Tessa and Willow; her “besties” Diane Mbiad, Terri Pirie, Kathy Warhola and Barbara Goldman, a friend of 50 years; and she will also be missed by her sisters-in-law, Barbara, Jackie and Sue and cousin, Becky. She had many friends whose lives she graced and blessed.
Connie will be cremated, and she will be buried near her mother at a later date.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where a time to share memories will begin at 2:30 PM with Lama Kathy Wesley officiating.
