Zanesville Band Boosters Back in Action at the Fair

ZANESVILLE, OH – A beloved fair favorite is back with a brand new flavor for people to enjoy.

The Zanesville High School Band Boosters were out selling a fan favorite, waffles with powdered sugar and this year they’ve introduced a cinnamon and sugar option.

Casey Rush, the Band Booster President, says even though it’s only been a few days into the fair they have been busy with the amount of orders coming in.

“We’ve had spurts, there are times when it’s kind of slow.” Rush said. “Then there’s other times where we are rushing to catch up.”

Rush says she expects there to be extra demand on Tuesday because it’s Senior Day at the fair.

She says a big reason why the waffles are so popular is because all of the funds raised from this will be heading right back to the band kids.

“We use it to help buy things like uniforms, we just went to Disney this past year and the boosters were able to pay for the charter bus that we took.” Rush said. “So it all goes back to the kids. It’s huge, I personally have a senior in the marching band so it’s awesome.”

You can grab one waffle just to try or a bag 3 to share with some friends and the Band Boosters accept cash as well as card.
